Overall Objectives: Demonstrate via in-field inspection the efficacy of PAUT NDE tools in detecting crack-like flaws in polyethylene piping systems and anomalies in fusion joints for polyethylene piping; identify how NDE methods are best integrated into current integrity management frameworks, and demonstrate a holistic decision support framework for integrity management that includes NDE inspection and historic information in determining risk profiles for the polyethylene assets present in the distribution system, develops the RSE metrics for recommended mitigation projects as well as includes proper weighting of stakeholder objectives, such as advancing disadvantaged communities via mitigation projects, in the determination of RSE metrics.
