The Garrick Institute for the Risk Sciences is looking for a student editor with journalism, communication, English literature, or related field experience. The student editor will copyedit research briefs, journal articles, book chapters, web/social media content, grant proposals, and various Institute works. Also, the student editor will work with other Institute staff, faculty, senior researchers, and affiliates to address feedback and to ensure outgoing documents are consistent with University and Institute’s brand.

Qualifications:

  • Current UCLA Student

  • English Language Proficiency

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Excellent copyediting skills

  • Knowledge of Google, Microsoft, and Adobe applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, InDesign, etc

  • Team player and work with minimal guidance

  • Excellent time management skills

  •  Attention to Detail
