GIRS signs Cooperation Agreement on Maritime Risk and Smart Ship Research with WUT and NTNU

Wuhan University of Technology (WUT), University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) agree to establish a Research Partnership in Maritime Risk and Smart Ship (MSSS).

Through this joint research partnership, they will promote scientific and technological cooperation between researchers from UCLA (USA), NTNU (Norway), and WUT (P. R. China).

The research of the Research Partnership will focus on:

  • Maritime Risk Methodology and Software Development;

  • Autonomous Ship Safety;

  • Resilience Engineering-based Risk Assessment;

  • Human Performance in Maritime Operations;

  • Marine System Reliability.
